BFLR's Theatre Program provides a wealth of opportunities for the study of theatre in a wide variety of ways.

Acting classes begin with basic training and then students may pursue scene study, monologues, writing for the theatre, stage management, theatre lighting and production. BFLR has its own BlackBox Theater where students may learn about everything that goes into a production with hands-on experience in costume, lighting and set design, directing, marketing and all aspects of performance. Students perform for BFLR Student Showcases and participate in Workshops with Guest Artists. They have the opportunity to write and produce their own work as well as to perform the work of their fellow students. BFLR students are invited to perform at community events and to be part of professional productions produced by BFLR artists and teachers.

As interns with one of the many professional individual artists or performing groups collaborate with BFLR, students may work on productions at BFLR as well as in virtually every theatre and community venue in South Florida.

Students interested in Musical Theater may take Dance and Music classes at BFLR, as well as Musical Theater Workshops where they will create these types of performances.
