BFLR's Dance Program, in addition to Flamenco dance, music and singing classes, includes training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary Dance, Flamenco, Afro-Haitian Dance, Belly Dance, Salsa, Ballroom, Stretch and Barre, Movement for Rehab and Aging, Yoga, Acting, Piano, Guitar, Vocals, Music Writing and Creative Writing. In addition, BFLR offers the unique opportunity to study many ethnic dance forms, as Flamenco has multi-cultural roots and inspiration.

Special Workshops with Guest Artists, Scholarships and Internships are offered for students who wish to become more deeply involved in the performing arts. BFLR has several Dance companies that offer the students a closer relationship with the professional dance world, giving them opportunities to perform, as well as to work backstage in venues throughout South Florida. They may be part of production teams and work on costumes, set and lighting design, as well as in the administrative and marketing aspects of various projects.

BFLR's faculty is made up of professional dancers, working at the highest level in their fields, with some of the most accomplished companies in Florida, the U.S. and Internationally. They emphasize correct training in technique and style, along with nurturing each student's full potential. BFLR's teachers are skilled at bringing out the strengths and creativity of each of their students, while honing their ability to improve on any weaker areas or challenges.

This is facilitated by our small class sizes. BFLR's professional dancers also perform in BFLR's In-Studio Performance Series, giving students and audiences the rare opportunity to see dancers and choreographers of the highest caliber in open rehearsals as well as in the intimate performances that BFLR's Black Box Theater provides.

In its ever-evolving dance program, BFLR consistently attracts new artists and teachers while giving a regular venue to our established artists. This makes a fertile environment for artistic growth and collaboration, where the art of dance thrives.
